Love never failed ... won't ever fail ...

She was not blind but she couldn't see; Her eyes were all right but her mind wasn’t free. She groped in the dark for eternity; until His voice gave her back the clarity.

And suddenly, again the silence prevailed; But her love for him, never failed.
It will never fail....

p.s: My interview has come out in the 'Pakistan Spectator'; check it out if you have time: http://www.pakspectator.com/interview-with-blogger-som-dutta/

To be frank, that notification was posted just coz of priority, i posted that even without having a look on post. Sorry !!

Coming over to the post. I really really liked that. I like very few so called LOVE songs. A music video exactly describing that situation instantly came to my mind as i read the post. You should definitely look at the Video of this song. Its in Punjabi, by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The Song Is titled "Kandey Utte".

I've been unable to find it on net, saw it on TV.
The album is "charkha".

@I will try to look for the song .. I am really honored that you liked the poem .. as you said you usually don't like love songs ...

What made you like it ?!

Dutta said...

"She groped in the dark for eternity; until His voice gave her back the clarity."

I know very very few who try to give clarity by voices; most just add to complexity. Love, i believe, is simple.

The video of song depicts a blind girl in search of love. Hope you'll find it soon !

Dutta said...

@Jinxed: I am not changing topic ... :) I am serious ... mail me your address kid ... :)

Dutta said...

@R.K: you know .. Afghans believe that the first identity of your love is his/her voice ... :)

And yes .. love is simple .. but the situations and emotions it concocts are complex .. may be we make them complex ...

@Pallav: Hey first and foremost you don't have to thank me for dropping by ... !!

Great you liked the poem ... There is a small secret behind the poem; when I wrote it, it was a bit different .. I tweaked it a bit before posting ...:)

Beautiful. :)
I feel the first identity of your love is the way in which he or she communicates.
That special vibe lets you know, he is there.. Even if it is in a mess of a thousand blabbers..

Enchanted Sophie said...

Can I read that first draft? :)

Dutta said...

@Durga: True .. vibe you are talking about is very important :)

Its great that you liked the poem after the spanking you gave on my other Blog .. :P

Dutta said...

@ The first draft is vv

He was not blind but he couldn’t see; His eyes were all right but his mind wasn’t free.
He groped in the dark for eternity; until Her voice gave him back his clarity.
And suddenly the silence prevailed; But his love for her, never failed. It will never fail

Dutta said...

Because I wrote this keeping somebody in mind ... so the he version felt a bit too personal to publish .. so changed it ... and see it may help too ... lot more women will be able to relate to it (the no. of female bloggers are more than male !!) .. :)
