What is being practical... is it different for different people .....

you have hit the nail on the head..it's amazing,how often we confer the title of 'practical' upon ourselves when we wish to turn escapist..it's not surprising,therefore,that the 'practical' options are also,more often than not,the easier ones

being practicle impiles being ordinary, one in a crowd...doing run of the mill stuff..doing what the world says you to do without stretching any limits

true. being practical might involve maintaining a balance between the even and odd chances in life. complimenting your rationale with your inclination.

Hey Nikhil I don't think it is being ordinary cos being practical means doing things which is according to ones ability ...not what is your ability as told by the society...
Thats why I said it depends on what one wishes to practice... not what he is expected to practice...

therin lies the difference...often through the course of time one's own measure of ability converges with that of the society...and thats when 'ordinary' creeps in...mad rush for engg and MBA in india is a prime example
